The City of Cartagena, through the Department of Women and the Bar of the City have today renewed their commitment to continue working and go for nine years, to cover and legal advice to women who are victims domestic violence in the township.
The firm have been present Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, accompanied by councilors responsible for the area of Women, and Clara Montero Rosario Heredia, and the dean of the College of Lawyers of Cartagena, José wheels and through the agreement, the City subsidizes 16,542 euros in legal advice from two lawyers of the Bar, which held at the offices of the Department of Women in the mornings.
This is an improvement over the previous agreement, with an increase of 20 cie nt in the grant, which in turn results in more days of care and, therefore, more hours.
The mayor reminded that this agreement is a pioneer, becoming the germ of what later was the comprehensive care centers for women, noting that during 2010, 600 consultations were handled through this service, and so far years and have handled more than 300.
