Rescuers of the monitoring device and rescue the City of Cartagena beaches have made this afternoon to rescue a man about 70 years old, who was with his head submerged in water while bathing on the beach at Mar de Cristal.

According to informed sources Civil Protection, the facts were recorded about one o'clock, when this person into the sea with rubber slippers being encountered with the feet up and head underwater, unable to sit up.

Rescuers who had observed this circumstance, rushed and got out to the shore.

The man who had swallowed water, was treated by ambulance and transferred to Civil Defence Hospital Santa Lucia, where he remained under observation.
