The Sea Film will cover key moments in the history of Italy (04/07/2011)

The cycle included in the festival La Mar de Músicas, will screen twelve films between 11 and 23 July and will display in the exhibition Senza Tempo, hundreds of posters of Italian cinema between 40 and 60, all in New Teatro Circo

From classical to modern, via Visconti Sorrentino Berolucci or the Taviani brothers, the organizers of this edition of The Sea Film have been proposed to show the history of Italy through movies in which they appear at key the same as unification (this year marks the 150th anniversary), the first and second world war, resistance, emigration of Italians to America and what, until our days.

With this premise, the Councillor for Culture, Rosario Montero, the coordinator of the cycle, Joaquín Cánovas, today presented C'era una volta in Italia, a cycle that traverses the Alpine country's history through its films, masterpieces and authors of the most diverse and belonging to different chronological stages.

Thus, drawing a basic mapping that will allow the viewer to go on very interesting to know the Italian society and culture, said Rosario Montero.

Between 11 and 23 July, twelve films will be screened in the Nuevo Teatro Circo, at 19.00 hours, opening an unreleased documentary cycle in Spain, our 30 years, led by Giovanna Taviani, in which young Italian directors remembering going through various sequences to the classics.

Parallel projection and on schedule, you can also enjoy in the hall of the New Theatre Circus exposure Senza Tempo, hundreds of posters of Italian films released in Cartagena between 40 and 60, belonging to the collection of Alfonso Santos, who remain until July 23.

The exhibition will open an original poster of the film Cinema Paradiso, in 1988, one meter high and one wide.
