538 vehicles were reported in May for exceeding the speed limit (06/06/2011)

During the month of May was reported on roads in Cartagena a total of 9762 vehicles that have exceeded the average speed in different sections and our municipal roads.

In total 70 controls were performed throughout the month, which passed 15,923 vehicles and 9,762 of exceeding the speed limit was eventually reported 538.

Of all complaints made, 52 were reported to drivers at the time of the violation by the agents.

As for the type of track, 50 percent of the vehicles were monitored on cruises, while the other 50 was controlled in residential areas of the city and different parts of the industrial estate.

Among the reported vehicle, there was only arrested for a crime against road safety, to be detected circulating in the San Pedro road at a speed of 127 km / h when the limit for that road is 50 km / h .

In addition, the local police recalled that exceed speed limits can lead to penalties of up to 600 euros, the decrease of six points in the driver's license, withdrawal of license and imprisonment, depending on how long the limit is exceeded speed.
