Escombreras bulk pier opens to facilitate the passage of large vessels (31/05/2011)

Cartagena Port Authority has inaugurated this morning the spring versatile solid bulk of the expansion of the tailings basin.

The extension of this spring will increase bulk of the activity of large vessels for easy loading and unloading, and, as its name suggests, the new multi point eventually allow all types of bulk solids from grain or minerals , to cement.

The bulk of the spring dimensions amount to 576 meters along the mooring line and 24 meters deep.
