The new Maritime Action Admiral (ALMART), Vice Admiral Francisco Javier Franco Suanzes has held this morning its first formal meeting with the Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, an official presentation has taken place, as usual, in the office of Mayor of the Town Hall.

Suanzes Franco, 57, who took office last April 8, relieves Emilio José Nieto Manso as head of the Maritime Action Force.

Before his appointment as ALMART, holding the office of Naval Command Commander Admiral de Canarias.

It has also been commander of corvette and a frigate, and director of the Escuela Naval Militar de Marín.
