La Semana Santa is settled with fewer incidents than last year (25/04/2011)

From the general direction of Security took stock of actions carried out by Firefighters, Local Police and Civil Protection, during the ten days that have lasted the Easter holiday in Cartagena.

Between 15 and 24 April have posted a total of 342 interventions, most of them small-scale, and a figure much smaller than the balance of last year, when there were 475 interventions by the three services security and emergency.

Highlights of interventions occurred in the positions of the coastal beaches where Civil Protection had to rescue two surfers at the beach Calblanque, one was left unconscious after suffering a severe blow, and Los Nietos , where an amputee lady had her fingers in a domestic accident.

In total, Civil Protection made ​​63 interventions, which were 33 hours in the processions.

Firefighters from the body there were no outstanding service during the dates of Easter.

In total we have counted 30 small-scale interventions, including: 4 small bushfires, 5 in public (a green plastic and blankets along the bridge of Cartagonova), 4 container, an electric line and 2 homes, all of low virulence.

The highest recorded number of times the local police, 249 in total, of which most were traffic accidents, 56, registering a death.

In addition, there were 34 interventions by quarrels and scandals, 23 violations for the sale or consumption of alcoholic beverages on public streets, 26 alarms in commercial establishments, 18 traffic control (including removal of 5 vehicles for driving without insurance): 14 robberies (including 3 knives interventions) to name the largest.
