The pleasures of ancient Carthage in the Roman World Tribute (22/03/2011)

Among the activities of the Tenth Anniversary of Cartagena Puerto de Culturas until April 30, visitors can enjoy the recreation of Facilities in the House of Fortune in the Augusteum spiritual rituals and worship of the body in the hot springs Decumano

The Councillor of Tourism of the City of Cartagena, Javier Herrero, and the manager of Cartagena Puerto de Culturas, Agustina Martínez, presented this morning the new schedule of activities within the tenth anniversary of the Cartagena Port of Cultures that after concluding the celebrations designed to honor the Punic world with great success, launches the run to honor the Roman era.

The program activities will be held from 25 March to 30 April and will have three main stages: the Casa de la Fortuna, and Augusteum Decumano.

As explained by the Councillor for Tourism, the activities aim to inform the public "The Pleasures of the Roman World," highlighting the aspects of daily life most sophisticated of this culture, rituals and worship both corporal and spiritual.

In the House of Fortune visitors attending a banquet rituals in Augusteum feel the spirituality of their deities and Decumano enjoy the hot springs and the cult of the body, all a sensory journey to ancient Carthage, has Councilman indicated.

Visitors can also enjoy an open day on Good Friday, April 15, in the month of May, coinciding with the International Museums Day.

The manager of Cartagena Puerto de Culturas thanked also the cooperation of the Carthaginians and Romans Federation has transferred parts for the recreation of Roman spaces.
