Author: Belén Gopegui

Gopegui Bethlehem was born in 1963 in Madrid.

Rocket scientist is the daughter of Luis Ruiz de Gopegui.

He graduated in law at the Autonomous University of Madrid, but before finishing college and had decided that what he really wanted was to be a writer. I was in fourth year, and read whenever I liked.

I studied law because, well, because then I thought of ideals of justice, fix the world, all that.

But I began to realize that I liked to read and write too.

I finished school, were spun things right, I started working in magazines, and I go to survive.

For a time was devoted to reviewing books and doing interviews for various publications including the book supplement of The Sun, to which is his first novel, The scale of the maps in Anagram, supported by the writer Carmen Martin Gaite.

Of his books have been praised the maturity of his prose and his literary approaches, as original narrative structures, the brilliance of his metaphors, where it appears a superficial understanding of the world and the scientific lexicon and its intimate and poetic nature.

Gopegui's narrative offers a thoughtful look on the world.

She has also been devoted to writing screenplays for films Sleeping Luck (2003) by Angeles Gonzalez Sinde and Archimedes' principle (2004) by Gerardo Herrero.
