The mayor of Cartagena, Pilar Barreiro, opens on Monday 7 March at 14:00 hours in the Hotel Entremares of La Manga del Mar Menor, the fourth edition of the Program for Senior Cures of our Municipality.
Entremares Hotel in collaboration with the City of Cartagena by the Department of Social Services is launching this initiative from March 6 until 29 June.
The program, which has no cost to city coffers, offers a total of 12 shifts during the four months due to high demand for this year has expanded the activity to June.
The program is aimed at people of the municipality in excess of 55 years of age to improve their quality of life, including access to the services offered at the hotel spa facilities Entremares in La Manga.
The main objective is to facilitate access to the elderly with activities designed to alleviate conditions related to rheumatism, skin disorders and other diseases.
The activity includes full board, access to the heated pool, two bathrooms in the four Carthaginesas Spa, free use of preventive healthcare services in the pool and Thermal Leisure activities and free use of hotel gym.
In addition, all participants must pass a medical report, since it is a therapeutic activity.
In total, about 240 people participated in the last two editions.
In the first program, 40 people enjoyed the facilities of the hotel, while in the second edition were about 100 people which has demonstrated the great success that is taking this action the municipality.
The City of Cartagena is the fifteenth in Spain that focuses on the thermal and healthcare services for seniors, joining other parts of the country that have launched this initiative as Madrid, Vizcaya or Fuengirola.
