High school students participating in the Olympics in Geology and Chemistry]

Nearly 150 high school students participate in morning at the Olympics in Geology and Chemistry, which take place this year at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT).

The tests will award the best high school students in these disciplines.

The Olympics of Geology, involving over 90 students across the region, are held to encourage students to learn the discipline and to find the fascination with the planet, according to Professor Ignacio Manteca, event coordinator.

The winners of the test to be held tomorrow to compete in a second phase in Madrid, where the winning team will represent Spain in the European race to be held in Brussels next spring.
