The project, undertaken by the City Council and Aquagest, aims to kill two birds with one stone, and while improving the evacuation of rainwater, urban services are restored and provides greater traffic flow in the area
The Councillor for Infrastructure, José Vicente Albaladejo, presented the draft approved at the last meeting of government and will make the dealership Aquagest Murcia Region for the implementation of a wastewater interceptor sewer on the east, particularly in the Round City Avenue La Union in the section from the plaza to the street Severo Ochoa Soller, and the replacement of urban services and floors affected.
Albaladejo has indicated that the most novel of this action will surface on the one hand the construction of two roundabouts, one at the intersection of Avenida de Murcia and one on the street Soller, which is intended to flow and safety an area of heavy traffic, and secondly, the removal of the pedestrian bridge that crosses the avenue wheel, since no use whatsoever.
The work, which will begin soon, is the continuation of which is currently being carried out in Severo Ochoa, and to download the collectors of the city center, to channel water from the barrios to Severo Ochoa and pumped to the station Barrio Peral, representing a significant decline driven sections.
The key project activities will include the introduction of 30 meters of reinforced concrete pipe 1,500 mm in Severo Ochoa, 851 meters polyurethane pipe of 1,200 mm from the Mall to the street Mandarache Soller, 30 meters of reinforced concrete pipe 1,000 mm in the overflow of rainwater in the street Citadel, and a new rainwater collection system in this area.
Regarding the treatment of surfaces (sidewalks, lighting, etc..) Stated Councilman infrastructure will be very similar to that applied in adjacent streets, such as the extension of the street to Angel Bruna, Avenida de Murcia and Calle Jorge Juan, although it is studying the issue of trees, and there appeared to be a plague of bugs that are attacking the trees in the area.
The budget for this work amounts to 2,324,360 euros and the execution time is eight months, which is expected to be completed in September.

Remember that this first phase, budgeted at one million euros to be financed by municipality and autonomous region, covering the stretch between the junction of Mill Derribao and the bridge of the old railway.
Albaladejo has reviewed other works falling within its area, as the new bridge Barrio de la Concepción, which is awaiting authorization by the Segura basin, or the pink walkway access to the new health center in the neighborhood, which awaits funding of € 300,000 for missing finishes (lighting, handrails).
