The Archaeological Park turnstile is open to the public in the first half of 2011 progressively, as they become finalized the works.

This was noted by the Town Planning, Joaquín Segado, whose department conducted the project.

Mowing has stated that the emergence of new remains in the archaeological excavations carried out at the top of the hill has been forced, as expected, to modify some aspects of the project to include the restoration and enhancement of the same will be done with quiet and following the instructions of the experts.

Thus, as the works are completed in certain areas of the park will open to the public while work will continue in others, such as those affected by the archaeological remains.

The council has announced that excavations have been completed, resulting in the discovery of new sections of the wall of the Dean, who have obliged to change the staircase from the Plaza de López Pinto, a new temple, dated between I and II BC, which is to be restored in part to facilitate their interpretation, and a series of defensive structures Punic.

To this we must add a wall of andesite (black basalt) from Roman times was part of the various terraces which took the hill in Roman times, and a staircase giving access to the temple above mentioned.

Currently we are working on the restoration of two windmills and other debris, while the walks are paved giving access to the archaeological sites and condition the living areas, which will appeal this new viewpoint upon the city.

In particular is virtually made access to the park from the Health Center area of the Old Town, at the confluence of streets and Master Adarve French while working in the civil work of the escalator and the step of access from López Pinto, once the General Directorate of Culture has set the benchmark on the remains of the Wall of Dean.

VISITORS REMAINS BLUE BALCONY

Linked to this the Pinwheel Park project is that of enhancement and protection of the archaeological remains of the streets and balconies Honda Blue, who undertook the consortium Cartagena Puerto de Culturas.

The remains will be covered by a metal structure, which has been virtually mounted.

In mid-January will be installed stainless steel and polycarbonate, which make up the roof, while this structure mounted on a runway to fly over the remains, allowing it to visit and access to three specific areas: the fore, the thermal and atrium of the great Roman public building.
