Mazurek The new group will be tomorrow, Wednesday 10 November in Cartagena Jazz Festival.

Their concert will be free at 20:30 pm in the auditorium of the Centro Cultural Ramón Alonso Luzzy.

Rob Mazurek is the leader of this group, an abstractionist sound, improviser, composer, painter and multimedia artist, but above all one of the most creative trumpet players of today.

He is a master in the art to redefine the musical boundaries through vibrant sonic palettes challenging to labels imposed.

His collaborations with other artists include a plethora of names of weight from Tortoise, Stereolab, Sam Prekop, Gastr del Sol, The Aluminum Group and many others.

It seems that no one with standing in the experimental stage want to miss the chance to have their services, and Rob is left wanting while it chooses its partners.

Mazurek is a jazz trumpeter Miles Davis School and Don Cherry, a colorist of pure improvisation and sound experimenter, through beautiful melodies, electronic art and makes the perfect wrap lead to further widening horizons of this style.

John Rendon will be accompanied by the percussion, a member of Tortoise, a key part in creating a new way to understand the rock and interdependencies between the styles, the band that has been given a twist to the old cliches and are responsible among others, the creation of a new concept, a new way of dealing with current music: post-rock.

And Jason Adasiewicz, the vibraphone, and Rob Mazurek faithful companion of many of its projects.
