The next day, November 6 Unión Progreso y Democracia (UPyD) from Cartagena to submit to their primaries to Cartagena, Fulgencio Egea Moya.
Members of UPyD-Cartagena elected on November 6, through a primary process without guarantees, which head the list of training for the forthcoming municipal elections in 2011.
In these primaries be open to any member without any collateral.
The regulation provides for the holding of Elementary even in municipalities, or communities in which they present a single candidate.
This would have to obtain at least half plus one of votes cast.
From UPyD has defended the primary process as a method to select candidates for a part of the detachment between citizens, politics and political parties are correct, not only by changing the electoral law, but by opening parties all the militants to to participate in the election of those candidates they propose for election by the citizens.
UPyD calls on all Cartagena to get involved in city government, to become interested in politics, not stay home and not allow them to continue the "professional politicians" that have brought us to this situation.
