The Technical University of Cartagena and the Spanish Institute for Strategic Studies, Ministry of Defense have organized a seminar on security and defense led the students to be held from 18 to 22 October in the classroom grades and the Academy Antigones General San Javier air.
One aspect in which the course will focus on military cooperation in disaster management and peace operations.
Military and civil protection experts will discuss security plans, such as the National Civil Protection System and port security plans.
Also investigate the role of the Military Emergency Unit and the military logistics support in the management of crises caused by natural disasters.
The Third Open Classroom Seminar and Forum for Security and Defence Studies will also devote more of the 17 papers to be presented to military training and the new model of military training which has enabled the creation of the Defense University Center, attached to the UPCT, and the influence of the armed forces in the development and technology transfer in research and development (R & D) During the course, which consists of thirty hours and that students will recognize the equivalent of three credits of free configuration, will review the contributions of military aviation and submarine weapon.
The Vice President for Student and University Extension, Francisco Martínez, highlighted the quality of the participants and the importance of a course that helps to provide a broad view of the important work that the armed forces made in the peacekeeping in places conflict and develop the parallel work for the welfare of society.
The course participants also made a tour of the General Air Academy San Javier, where the seminar will close on 22 October.
