The People's University focuses its activities on the labor market (07/09/2010)

The People's University has announced its program for 2010-2011, among which are the courses to the labor market and the decentralization of activities in districts and councils.

As explained by the Councillor for Culture, Rosario Montero, the People's University true to its commitment to provide ongoing training to people who for various reasons have had or have difficulty obtaining it, this new course starting pay special attention to integration in the labor market, through access courses to college for students over 25 and 45 years and a number of vocational training courses in collaboration with the Employment and Training Service of the Autonomous Community (SEF) which intervene in areas where full rise as tourism, language and cultural services.

Councillor highlighted the success of the courses of access to university for people who have a wide demand over supply of places and in the last edition in June won 95 percent of approved study career at the Polytechnic University and the University of Murcia.

Of the 120 aged 25 to 45 who prepared the People's University, there were 75 and approved 71.

In fact this year the allocation of places for these courses will be conducted by lottery this week, due to the large number of applications received, especially in those over 25 years.
