Celebrations open the registration period to participate in the May Crosses (19/04/2018)

The crosses have become an essential element of the landscape of Cartagena during the first week of May, so one more year, the Department of Celebrations opens the registration period to participate in the Feast of the Cross of May, until Tuesday April 24

The City of Cartagena, through the Celebration Area, and with the aim of promoting the Festivities and Traditions of the Municipality calls for Associations, non-profit groups and interested neighbors to carry out the so-called Fiesta de la Cruz de Mayo.

The activity will take place on the 4th, 5th and 6th of May, since the day of the traditional festival is Monday, May 1, this weekend is considered the most suitable for the realization of the event.

The interested parties will present their requests for projects to be carried out, including the following aspects: Organizing Entity;

Responsible physical person and project to be carried out, with specification of the proposed place, schedules and contents, as well as the municipal infrastructure necessary for its possible development in the appropriate cases, with special specification and detailed description of the sound emission equipment that is intended install for the previous evaluation of its acoustic impact.

The assembly schedule will be adapted to the specified range for the realization of this activity.

Therefore, the installation of the crosses will take place exclusively on Thursday, May 3 at night.

Thus, from Friday May 4 at 12:00 noon until Sunday May 6 you can visit and contemplate the assemblies made by the residents of Cartagena.
