Ramón Navarro wrote his name on the list of the victors of the Route of the Fortresses, he did it with a time of 4 hours and 6 minutes.

Veronica Bugliot was the first girl to reach the finish line, she did it with a time of 5 hours and 15 minutes.

All runners who managed to finish this ninth edition had to travel 53 kilometers with a positive drop of 2,100 meters.

The day of Saturday, April 14, began for 3,800 runners, shortly before 8:00 am, at Plaza Héroes de Cavite, from where the exit of the IX Route of the Fortresses was given.

The solemn lowering of the flag and the national anthem indicated that the trial was beginning.

Next to them was the mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, the Councilor for Sports, Obdulia Gómez and the Councilor for Sustainable Development and Public Function, Francisco Aznar.

The Route of the Strengths, one more year, had aroused great interest among the running of the entire Region, even nationwide.

The singularity of this 53-kilometer race, which combines asphalt and mountain, and the spectacle of its entire course, again broke the record among runners who craved a race number (8,181 riders signed up).

The itinerary covered the main fortresses, defensive batteries of coast, barracks and castles of Cartagena, among which include: Sierra Gorda, El Calvario, San Julián, Galeras and finally the Atalaya.

Many were the family and friends who throughout the tour were encouraging the participants, providing a festive atmosphere.

It is also worth mentioning the order and the excellent organization of the test in all its infrastructure, in charge of the General Albacete and Fuster Marine Infantry School, from the control and supply stations, to the emergency and sanitary device.

In total 1,110 people working to make the day a success and all participants enjoyed the test.

They did this when they arrived at the esplanade of the EIMGAF, Ramón Navarro, winner of the test that culminated in 4 hours and 6 minutes, followed by José Antonio Agüera and José Carlos Caparros.

In the youth test were Raúl Momblona Rodríguez and Ana Boj who got the best times.

While on Friday, April 13, in the children's test, the winner was Pedro Manuel Paredes.
