The Symphony Orchestra of the Region of Murcia (OSRM), with the support of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment, program this Sunday, April 8 (12:00 hours), the third and last of the 'Concerts in Family 'of the season at the El Batel Auditorium in Cartagena.
On this occasion, the Symphony gives the witness to Ensemble Kalimba Percussion, whose director is Miguel Ángel Alemán, percussionist of the OSRM, who will stage 'Un viaje con la familia Baquetín', a show in which contemporary percussion is mixed, the samba, the ragtime, the funky or the blues together with everyday situations that allow making music with tubes, spoons and even stairs.
The general director of the Institute of Cultural Industries and Arts (ICA), Marta López-Briones, said that "the reception of this first cycle of 'Concerts in Family' in Cartagena has been fantastic and the finishing touch is going to put on this percussion show that was already held in Murcia last January and that attracted more than 1,300 people to the regional Auditorium ".
For a little more than an hour, and supported by an attractive audiovisual projection, thirteen performers will play countless percussion instruments, show their skills and mix their rhythms to achieve an original and energetic show that will make the audience enjoy, while they know the enormous possibilities of the percussion family.
