The Muram de Cartagena hosts workshops, visits and concerts to raise awareness about autism and accessibility to culture (05/04/2018)

The Regional Museum of Modern Art of Cartagena (Muram) hosts this month, on 7 and 14 April, the days' Blue Days.

Break the barriers for autism.

Let's make a more accessible society ', organized by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment and Astrade (Association for the Care of People with Generalized Developmental Disorders of the Region of Murcia)

The general director of Cultural Goods, Juan Antonio Lorca, explained that, "through this programming, we join from the Ministry to the commemoration of the World Day of Awareness on Autism, which took place on April 2, and we do betting for culture as an element of unity and also for awareness and education, trying to better explain what it means to live with autism and promoting inclusion, tolerance and respect, especially among the youngest. "

In this way, and like every April, the Muram and Astrade join the campaign promoted by the Autism Confederation Spain and Europe, a work of awareness to raise awareness of this disorder to society and attract attention to the needs and the reality of people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families.

The activities programmed in Cartagena are several workshops, concerts on the terrace, the reading of a manifesto and the illumination of the facade of the blue Muram.

"Initiatives aimed at all audiences with which we also want to remember that our museums and regional centers are spaces open to the whole society, from which the accessibility to culture is encouraged by all citizens," added Lorca.
