CTSSP denounces the irresponsibility of the administrations with the lands of El Hondón (12/03/2018)

CTSSP has again denounced the inaction of the administrations in relation to the land of El Hondón, which does not stop passing balls from one side to another, which fail to comply with the recommendations of the Office of the Prosecutor and the CSN, and which still do not solve the terrible and pressing problem of contamination of the land.

Also, from the parliamentary group of PODEMOS RM will continue to press with new interpellations to the Ministry, as it was done in September of last year.

The municipal group highlights flagrant breaches of administrations, such as the absence of a fence promised for years and easy implementation, as well as avoiding the continuity of the dumping of rubble and RSD on the land (municipal responsibility);

the non-declaration as contaminated lands, the lack of a genuine Decontamination Plan that is the responsibility of the private responsible for said catastrophe and that should be executed in a subsidiary manner by the administrations.

Lastly, CTSSP announces that it will take numerous questions to the Plenary to demand that the municipal government comply with the commitments acquired and authorize the necessary budget items.

Likewise, it will request that the CARM be required what is regional competence and that defines with precision and rigor what are the concrete plans and deadlines to decontaminate the land, stop the dumping of new waste and comply with each and every one of the recommendations and mandates of the Office of the Prosecutor, the Nuclear Safety Council, the Ombudsman and the residents of the area.
