'A Fantastic Woman' (Chile, 2017), by director Sebastián Lelio, who has just won the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film 2018, is the film chosen to continue with the projections of La Ficcmoteca del Luzzy and will be able to view this Friday, March 9, within the program 'Read, Think, Imagine' organized by the Department of Culture of the City of Cartagena.

In the film, Marina, played by Daniela Vega, and Orlando, by Francisco Reyes, plan a future together.

Although there is a difference in age between them, almost 20 years, it is the death of the protagonist after a night of partying that manages to separate them.

The film shows the struggle of the protagonist to remove the prejudices they have about their transsexual condition to become what she is, a strong, passionate and fantastic woman who must face the suspicions of Orlando's recent death.

'A fantastic woman' is a film of great recognition that has been praised and nominated in numerous festivals and film academies;

among them the Berlin Festival, the Golden Globes, the Fénix Awards, the Goya Awards and the Oscars.

The film will be screened in its original version in Spanish at the Auditorium of the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center at 8:00 p.m. and its admission will be free until full capacity is reached.
