MC applauds that, once again, his initiatives serve to preserve and value the historical and archaeological heritage of Cartagena (06/03/2018)

The Municipal Group MC, continuing its line of work in defense of the historical and archaeological heritage of Cartagena, recently presented a motion, which will be debated at the next Plenary, to address the Peña Ros family's request to guard and exhibit, for part of the Town Hall, the old 19th century furniture of the pharmacy of the Calle Mayor.

In this way, and known the new claim of MC, the socialist government, through its head of Culture and Heritage, David Martinez, announced yesterday that the procedures will be carried out to move forward in this regard.

Before this news, the councilor of the training Cartagena, Ricardo Segado, has applauded that, once again, "our work and initiatives serve to preserve and value the historical and archaeological heritage of Cartagena."

In this regard, Segado stressed that "Mr. Martínez Noguera tries to get out of the way of his paralysis in political management throwing balls out to disguise the inability to govern."

In the same way, the mayor has lamented that the socialist argument is that "MC could have done it in his time in the Government, forgetting once again that MC has worked tirelessly for Cartagena when he was dismissed from his Government functions."

Exhibition at the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center

Regarding the options with regard to the furniture of the nineteenth century pharmacy, Ricardo Segado explained that the proposal that MC will present at the Plenary will consist of the City Council organizing, hosting and permanently guarding an exhibition at the Ramón Cultural Center Alonso Luzzy, "right place for the height of their roofs", according to the councilman.

If there is not enough space to house the furniture, which is currently in the Queen Victoria Avenue pharmacy, "we propose to rescue the project initiated by MC to create a museum of the History of Teaching in Cartagena, moving to the Schools Graduated the decontextualized Foundation Carmen Conde Foundation ".

In this sense, Segado stressed that "in MC we like to provide ideas to those who do not have them, and the current area of Culture and Heritage seems to need them urgently if they want to advance something in the remainder of the term, thus ending the paralysis demonstrated since we do not hold such responsibilities. "

Continuity to MC projects

Finally, the head of Culture and Heritage of MC has ensured that "we propose that the current government of six councilors, weak and divided, continue with our projects and our work, given that the PSOE lacks a plan and a sheet of route for Cartagena, being its only aims to become very friendly of the concessionaires ".
