Citizens claim in El Algar the urgent improvement of access to this council before the accumulation of deficiencies (06/03/2018)

Citizens has denounced in El Algar the danger of the absence of hard shoulders on the road between El Algar and Los Urrutias, which requires a rectification of layout, widening, signaling, bike lane and systems for the evacuation of rainwater and the complicated location of the access road to this district on the east, the rural road that connects the junction of El Llano on the fast track of La Manga with the neighborhood of La Loma de El Algar that schoolchildren and neighbors use.

The vocal of Citizens in El Algar, Ángel Sánchez, has also referred to the access of the old N-332 that forces neighbors who go to the cemetery to walk on the asphalt avoiding cars, and to the west by the F-42, It does not have hard shoulders and has poor lighting.

On the other hand, the so-called "diversion roads" have for a long time become part of the ravines, raising their boundaries with the contribution of land.

Due to the problems described, Ciudadanos presented a motion at the last local plenary session in El Algar, which was approved unanimously, to propose possible ways of financing and solving these problems.

According to Ángel Sánchez, "the road to Los Urrutias requires a redesign with pedestrian arcades and a bicycle lane, this road is municipal and it is the City Council that must act using the funds that the Community transfers for these purposes."

"The west access by the F-42 and the old N-332 are accesses linked to the fast lane of La Manga, which was not adapted at the time and therefore it must be the Autonomous Community which will finance these works; still the construction of two roundabouts on the road of La Union ", explained the orange vowel.

As for the road to La Loma from the knot, "is the great neighborhood clamor for its situation and the dangers involved, especially when it rains," explained Angel Sanchez whose motion includes that collect ideas from neighbors and groups of the area so that within a month a specific proposal is made to the City Council and the Community to improve access. "

For his part, the spokesman of Citizens, Manuel Padín, has indicated that "we are going to give a time so that the City council and the Community respond, and especially so that the neighbors can design that specific proposal, and when they have it and it has been sent to the City Council, if we see that no steps are taken forward, we will be the ones that directly transfer these demands, both to the municipal Plenary and to the Regional Assembly.
