The Mayor's Club of the neighborhood of San Ginés hosted this morning March 5 the opening of its cultural week, in which several neighbors of the neighborhood participated for its preparation.
The mayor of Cartagena and Councilor for Social Services, Ana Belén Castejón, attended the opening ceremony.
The councilor has emphasized the importance of Cartagena City Council continuing to provide "the appropriate tools, spaces and forums for our elders to remain so happy, so alive and practice a very healthy life."
He also stressed the need for older people "are useful for this society, for us" and recalled the love and enthusiasm with which they have prepared each of their jobs.
The president of the Major Club Neighborhood of San Ginés, Felipe Sierra, has shown his hope that this is "a good and happy year" in which all the neighbors who participate in the club are "happy and happy."
For its part, the Queen of the Senior Club, Pepita Casas, has announced a rhyme to inaugurate the most important days of the association.
"We are all reunited with a lot of hope, celebrating the cultural week with joy and love," he said.
The neighbor of the neighborhood and member of the Club of Elderly Neighborhoods of San Ginés Ginesa Ayala recalled that it cost them a lot of work to be able "to have the satisfaction" of being able to enjoy "such a beautiful club".
