The Economic Strategy Commission will seek to promote employment in Cartagena (26/01/2018)

The Economic Strategy Commission of the Local Employment Committee, has met this Friday, January 26 under the chairmanship of the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, to analyze the proposals of various economic sectors with the aim of encouraging employment in the municipality.

The councilor of the Treasury, Carmen Martín del Amor, the manager of the Agency of Local Development and Employment, Manuel Mora, as well as representatives of COEC, through its president, Pedro Pablo Hernández, of the Polytechnic University, participated in it. Chamber of Commerce, UGT and Comisiones Obreras, as well as the Employment and Training Service.

This meeting has aimed to address the proposals of each of these actors to encourage the creation of employment in the municipality.

As stressed by the mayor, the priority points of this meeting have been the promotion of tourism in the city, reindustrialization through the installation of new auxiliary companies and training native.

The contributions made by both entities and companies will serve as the basis for drafting the draft that will be taken to the Local Employment Roundtable, in which all the municipal groups also participate, in order to shape the Strategic Plan for Employment in Cartagena.

Training, entrepreneurship, the formula for creating companies and the social economy will be some of the instruments used to promote employment in the municipality.

A plan that, according to the mayor, will have a deadline and a schedule for all citizens to have access to it and that will be presented as soon as possible.
