The popular celebrations of San Antón begin this weekend thanks to the collaboration of the City of Cartagena.
On Saturday, January 13, the route of the tapa is inaugurated, as well as a horse ride and the traditional procession that lowers the image of the Saint Patron Saint Abbot from the Chapel of the San Antón Cemetery and that will be accompanied by a band of cornets and drums.
The councilor of Citizen Participation and Celebrations, Juan Pedro Torralba, will also be accompanying the employer during the morning of Saturday.
In addition, the day of Sunday, January 14, lovers of motorcycles may participate this day in a motorcycle concentration, in addition to enjoying a great hot chocolate with buns and the performance of the group "Kar Pendiem".
Also on Sunday there will be a football match in the Field of Gymnastics Abad, in addition to a great dance and family raffle in the afternoon.
These festivities, which continue until January 21, will include a domino tournament, a storytelling workshop, a folk festival and the traditional blessing of animals on Wednesday, January 17.
