The Artistic-Musical Society Santa Cecilia de Pozo Estrecho recognized the delegate councilor of Culture, Education and Equality of the City of Cartagena, David Martínez, with the award 'Friend of the SAM Santa Cecilia 2017' at this year's celebrations on the occasion of the day of the patron saint of musicians, for her close relationship with the entity and the unconditional support she has always shown them.
The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, the councilman of Celebrations, Juan Pedro Torralba, and the president of the Neighborhood Board of Pozo Estrecho, Carolina Álvaro, attended the events that took place in the Santa Cecilia Cultural Center of this Cartagena town, which hosted the presentation of the award as well as a commemorative act for the 124th anniversary of the group and later a concert, which served as a farewell to the director of the same, Antonio David Morales Hernández.
During the development of the celebrations the mayor dedicated a few words to those present.
In his speech, Castejón reiterated the support of the City of Cartagena to ensure the continuity of the Music Schools of the municipality and encouraged them to continue working for the culture of Pozo Estrecho as they have done so far.
