- "With this mismanagement undoubtedly produced by poor coordination between the councils governed by MC and PSOE, two parties that are not spoken, we are unfortunately contributing to being a non-compliant City Hall, well above the 30-day deadline set the law of delinquency ", has assured the municipal spokesman of Citizens, Manuel Padín

- The spokesman of Cs assures that it is necessary to leave already "of doing that policy of holders and marketing to put itself to pay to our suppliers that need to raise afloat their businesses"

On the occasion of the information published today by the newspaper of La Verdad which states that the delay in the payment of bills by the City has unleashed complaints in companies, the spokesman for Citizens (Cs) in Cartagena, Manuel Padín , has pointed out "these delays in paying service providers, works and supplies mean that our companies can not pay payroll or that even some have to take the closure."

"With this mismanagement undoubtedly produced by poor coordination between councils governed by MC and PSOE, two parties that are not spoken, we are unfortunately contributing to be a non-compliant City, well above the 30-day deadline set by the delinquency law ", assured the municipal spokesman of Cs.

Manuel Padín has announced that his group will ask for explanations at the next ordinary plenary session, "we will prepare a battery of questions to clarify what is happening with the economic management of our City Council and try to trigger a reaction on the part of those responsible to lower that amount of 11 million euros without paying since the end of 2016 as it has been published. "

The spokesman of Cs assures that it is necessary to leave already "of doing that policy of holders and marketing to put itself to pay to our suppliers that need to raise afloat their businesses".

The orange training spokesman recalled the report made a few months ago by the Association of Autonomous Workers (ATA), which explains that "the arrears have to do less with the size of the administration or population, and more with the existence of good and bad managers ".

"There are many freelancers who suffer these defaults day by day and that makes it extremely difficult for them to continue working," said Padín.

"We also find it very striking that the local executive is nervous and begins to review the accounts and launch internal circulars demanding speed in the administrative processing of bills, only when journalists begin to ask what is happening," he said. Cs spokesperson who says that "we go wrong when we work and pay our debts only when the press takes our colors".

Finally, the leader of Citizens in Cartagena recalled that his party has registered in Congress a bill to combat late payment in which it has included a sanctioning regime, with fines ranging between 60 and 819,780 euros, and a arbitration system to settle conflicts between companies.

The sanctioning regime to enforce the terms established in the current legislation -30 days to undertake a payment by the public administration and 60 days in the private sector- "is a vindication of this training to face the current impunity".
