The Cerro de Los Moros will be reforested with autochthonous flora next December 3 (08/11/2017)

Yesterday, Tuesday, November 7, an extraordinary session was held by the Reforestation Board, chaired by the councilor of the Area of ​​Quality of Life, Francisco Calderón.

The call was attended, in addition to CREECT and ANSE, representatives of all municipal groups, as well as members of the local MAPS group, neighbors of Los Mateos and municipal technicians, as well as the manager and staff of Casco Antiguo.

Previously, some of the attendees visited the hill of Los Moros and verified the progress in the cleanup of the area and the recovery of the lands to trace the trail and promote its reforestation.

The action will be carried out with native flora and on the initiative of CREECT, which offered a tab of the action and data on the operation of the protocol to participate in the activity.

It is foreseen a possible participation of up to 200 people for the planting of a maximum of 1,200 copies, according to the table that there is a reservation for the neighbors of the neighborhoods adjacent to the hill.

It is scheduled to be held on Sunday, December 3, starting around 10.00.

In a few dates the campaign of diffusion and meetings with collectives will begin, according to CREECT.

Rascasa thanked all attendees for these activities in El Barrio, remembering the Fenix ​​project and the MAPS as reference.

The Councilor for the area of ​​Quality of Life, Francisco Calderón, announced his intention to establish, together with the Sustainable Development area, a standardized model for reforestation activities, as well as to launch an awareness campaign about the benefits of these actions.
