The social premises of Canteras hosted yesterday, November 2, the first meeting to discuss and prioritize the different proposals that have been presented in the Participatory Budgeting, a meeting in which the neighbors expressed their opinion on the projects that, in their view , considered more important and necessary to be executed in Quarries.
The meeting was attended by a representative of the municipal government, among which was, the councilor of the area of ​​Citizen Participation and Good Government, Juan Pedro Torralba, the councilor of the Treasury and Interior, Francisco Aznar, the councilor of the Sustainable Development Area and Transparencia, María José Soler, and the deputy mayor of the Treasury, Isabel García.
In the course of the Assembly, the participating neighbors, some two hundred, left their priorities clear on 58 projects, of which 42 were finally voted.
Those who obtained the best qualification were, in order, the realization of a bridge over the road in front of the Hospital de Marina (33 votes);
actions on local roads in El Campillo de Adentro (31 votes);
the improvement of lighting in El Campillo de Adentro (27 votes);
the renovation of the Local Social of San Isidro (19 votes);
and the installation of a fountain in El Palmero (18 votes).
In this sense, Juan Pedro Torralba encourages all citizens to attend these assemblies in which they decide part of the budget of the City Council, since in person they can promote the proposals that they consider most important and that prevail the common good.
The assemblies of the districts will be developed until November 10, at the different social premises of the neighborhoods and councils of Cartagena, at 8:00 p.m.
The program, will allocate 2 million euros, distributed among the 7 districts that has the municipal district distributed as follows:
District 1 that integrates Canteras, Perín, Campo Nubla and La Magdalena € 209,633
District 2 that integrates Aljorra, Albujón, Pozo Estrecho, Miranda and Santa Ana. € 209,295
