Exhibitions, table games championships, a talk-colloquium on 'La copla, flamenco and its artists in Cartagena' by Benito Martínez, a choir, guided tours and theater, all linked to gastronomy are the acts that contemplates the program of the Cultural Week organized by the Senior Citizens' Club of the Virgen de la Caridad neighborhood.
The program will run from Monday 23 to Friday 25 October.
The delegate councilor of Social Services and Social Mediation, Carmen Martín del Amor, attended this morning the inauguration with which kicks off this Cultural Week.
There the people who are part of the club, most of them women, have taught him the sample of crafts that shows the work they have been doing during the workshops that have been done since October last year until September this year and in which monitors of the Department of Social Services have participated.
In addition to these workshops, this council also launches activities of memory and sports, the latter in collaboration with the Sports area.
"From the Department of Social Services and Social Mediation we are committed to activities and quality resources so that our elders have an active and sustainable aging," said Carmen Martin.
"All we want is for them to be happy and to really feel at ease, that is our fundamental goal," he said.
Likewise, the mayor thanked the participants for their collaboration and involvement in the IX Fair of Resources and Services for Seniors and Persons with Disabilities, Femadis 2017, held this same weekend in Plaza Heroes of Cavite.
