Experts on sustainable mobility will participate on Thursday, October 19, in talks-colloquium on `Sustainable City and Mobility ', organized by the City of Cartagena, UPCT, MoviliCT and ALSA.

They will discuss future projects and possible measures that can be taken in the city of Cartagena to make it a city with a more sustainable mobility.

The Councilor for Sustainable Development, María José Soler, has expressed the commitment of the City Council to make Cartagena a more sustainable city, and therefore supports all initiatives around it.

This activity is part of the European Mobility Week.

Cartagena officially participates this week with its Strategic Plan 'M17', which aims to project a more friendly and accessible municipality.

The talks-colloquium will have two experts in sustainable mobility, the speakers Alfonso Sanz Alduán and Vicente Hernández Herrador.

Both will be in charge of informing and trying to give the keys so that Cartagena is a city that advances and works to get to be equal to other cities like Madrid, San Sebastian or Sevillla.

Precisely this last city happened, in only 3 years, to have 10 km.

of bike path to own 120 km, as informed by the member of MoviliCT by Tu Salud, Gonzalo Navarro.

Navarro also commented in the press conference that Cartagena is still in diapers in terms of sustainable mobility, "although the city has been betting on the controversial pedestrianization of the historic center for years and different sections of bike paths have been made."

Precisely on the latter he anticipated that many black spots should be saved in the current layout.

The lectures will take place this Thursday, October 19th, at the Auditorium of the Higher Technical School of Industrial Engineering, at 5:00 p.m.
