Cs welcomed the fact that the Government complied with its motion and subsidized facilities that invest in renewable energy (10/10/2017)

- With regard to Citizens 'support for the modification of tax ordinances at the next Finance and Interior Commission, to be held next Monday, the Citizens' spokesman has preferred to be cautious, "we are still examining each and every one of the modifications which has been raised by Councilor for Finance, Isabel Garcia, to evaluate its impact on our accounts and the benefits that can bring to the Cartagena "

The Citizen spokesman in Cartagena, Manuel Padin, today celebrated that the City Hall has complied with the motion presented by its Municipal Group in the last Regular Plenary that urged to subsidize those buildings, facilities or works that invest in renewable energy.

Specifically, in the proposal on modification of tax regulations for fiscal year 2018, in the section Taxes, in point 1.3 a new bonus of 50 percent is proposed for constructions, installations, or works incorporating systems of thermal utilization or solar power.

"One way to promote the integration of renewable energies in the homes of our municipality, is to provide incentives to those individuals who decide to invest in these systems of use," said the spokesman of Cs.

The Local Finance Regulatory Law gives municipalities the power to offer a bonus of up to 95% in the Tax on Buildings, Facilities and Works (ICIO).

This power had not been exploited until now by our ordinances.

With this initiative, Citizens intends to truly encourage the use of these clean energy in the municipality against the use of fossil fuels.

"The local administration is the first that should set an example, if it does not do with its own properties, something that we have been insistently claimed in recent months, must do so among citizens with the use of solar collection systems or alternative facilities that help, both to reduce energy consumption and to improve the environment, "said Padín.

With regard to Citizens 'support for the modification of tax ordinances at the next Finance and Interior Commission, to be held next Monday, the Citizens' spokesperson has preferred to be cautious, "we are still examining each and every one of the modifications that has raised the Finance Councilor, Isabel Garcia, to evaluate its impact on our accounts and the benefits it can bring to the Cartagena. "

"Until our team and our Economics working group do not analyze and value this document that was delivered to us yesterday we will not be able to take a position and give our support or not."
