The Tours of Sirvs] | Organized by the Museum of the Roman Theater and the City of Cartagena |

Framed within the activities parallel to the exhibition 'Heryca.

The tours of Sirvs', the Museum of the Roman Theater and the City of Cartagena have organized a series of guided tours, with the collaboration of the collective Art Nostrum and the Federation of Troops and Legions of Carthaginians and Romans.

In addition, there will be workshops of painting and engraving, a cycle of conferences and a charity auction.

Guided tours, free of charge, start this Sunday, October 15, at 12:00 and will be guided by the curator of the exhibition, Javier Lorente.

The visit, which will be repeated on Sunday 22nd and 29th October, will begin at the Palace Hall and continue at the Museo del Teatro Romano.

On the other hand, this Saturday, 14 the workshops begin.

The first one, which will start at 11.30 am, is aimed at children aged 8 to 12, with the title 'Draw the story is fun', with Marcos Amorós and the collaboration of Juana Nieto Carrascosa.

During the workshop, the artist will explain his work and each student will make his own artistic creation.

Participants can bring their notebook with paint, pencils and colors.

On Saturday 21, also at 11.30, artists Álvaro Peña, Torregar, Pérez Casanova, Jorge García Aznar and Javier Lorente will perform a demonstration of live painting at the Museum of the Roman Theater in Cartagena, while on Saturday 28, at 12.00 hours, the painting workshop 'La Mar de Flores' will arrive with Piedad Martínez Torres.

As in the previous workshop, the artist will explain her work and the participants, children 8 to 12 years old, will make their own artistic creation in a collective mural.

Young artists can bring their notebook with paint, pencils and colors.

The next day, Sunday, at 11.00 in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, Antonio Vidal Maiquez will be in charge of directing 'Take your vintage engraving', a workshop in which there will be a live graphic work with the participation of visitors and possibility of acquisition at a modest price to support the solidarity cause with the child victim of the wars.

Already in November, on Sunday 4, at 12.00 hours in the Museum of the Roman Theater of Cartagena, will take place the painting workshop 'Remodeling the History', with Belén Orta and Olga Rodríguez Pomares, aimed at children and young people from 8 to 14 years.

In turn, this Wednesday, October 11, begins the cycle of conferences with the round table 'On the work of the artists of Herica.

Extended virtual tour ', with Salvador Torres and Esteban Bernal, at 8 pm in the Auditorium of the Museum of the Roman Theater in Cartagena.

The lectures will continue on Saturday 21 with the talk 'The creative process of Sirus', at 17.30 hours, at the Palace Hall, by Luis Marino and, a week later, October 28, at 18:30 and also in the Palacio Consistorial, there will be talk about 'Canto to the Women and the Arts', which will be in charge of the graduate in Fine Arts and Master in Archeology, with the collaboration of Rosana Sitcha, Julia Marín.

As a closing event for this program of activities, on November 3, the Auditorium of the Roman Theater of Cartagena will host a solidarity auction with ceramic works by the 16 artists.

The auction will be enlivened with live music, in order to raise funds in support of NGOs in solidarity with the children affected by the wars.

THE EXHIBITION

The exhibition 'Heryca.

The Sirvs' voyage brings together more than 100 works in which 16 artists from the Region have participated and which pays tribute to the history of the city and its people, citizens who every September revive history in a unique holiday in the Mediterranean, the Celebrations of Carthaginians and Romans.

The show is a trip to Cartagena's classic heritage, a common element of various peoples, but also the hallmark of a specific society that is strengthened by its history and its memory.

The initiative is part of a collective, ArtNostrum, which brings together artists from the Region of Murcia from painters, sculptors, photographers and engravers.

For this occasion, they have also had other invited artists.

The tour of the exhibition is an immersion in the classical world but from the perspective of contemporary art.

The group of artists is formed by Marcos Amorós, Pérez Casanova, Kraser, Luis Marino, Piedad Martínez Torres, Belén Orta, Álvaro Peña, Fernando P. Sáenz de Elorrieta, Olga Rodríguez Pomares, Rosana Sitcha, Salvador Torres, Antonio Vidal Máiquez, Javier Lorente, Esteban Bernal, Jorge García Aznar and Torregar.
