The Joint Commission on Health defines its strategy against possible breach of the Rosell Law. During the meeting held on Wednesday, the Councilor for the Area of ​​Quality of Life gave an account of the meeting held in September with the area ma (05/10/2017)

Councilor for the Quality of Life Area, Francisco Calderón, chaired a new meeting of the Joint Commission on Health on Wednesday afternoon, which was also attended by representatives of the municipal groups of the City Council, such as Carmen Martín, Manuel Padín and Teresa Sánchez, as well as the Platform in Defense of Public Health "Save the Rosell".

During the meeting, Francisco Calderón presented to the Commission the conclusions of the meeting held last September 26 with the Health Area Manager II, José Sedes, whose main focus was the necessary measures to be taken by the regional administration in view of the possible non-compliance with Law 3/2016, of 21 March, for the full functioning of Santa María del Rosell as a general hospital.

Likewise, the final adjudication of the construction of the second phase of the San Antón Health Center was discussed, as well as issues related to mental health care.

The Commission also agreed to convene, during the month of October, the legal services of the municipalities of Cartagena, La Unión and Fuente Álamo, and the 'Salvemos el Rosell' Platform, to draw up a joint strategy on the prosecution of non-compliance of the 'Law of the Rosell'.

Likewise, it was proposed that the groups of the Regional Assembly promoting the norm (PSOE, Podemos and C's), provide their legal services and join forces with other administrations and entities.
