More than a hundred activities for young people in the TLA of Autumn (04/10/2017)

The TLA of Autumn arrives with more than a hundred activities that will include trips to Madrid and Jijona, excursions to different points of the Region, workshops and training courses, bungee jumping, canyoning, bike and horse routes, UrbanCT proposals , a craft market and the III Sample of short films of terror 'Sometimes I see shorts'.

This was presented Wednesday, October 4, the Councilor for Youth and Sports of Cartagena, Ricardo Segado, in a press conference in which he was accompanied by the coordinator of the council of Youth, Maria del Mar Sanchez, and the coordinator of TLA, José Maria Lloret.

Specifically, there will be 104 activities, with a budget of 10,000 euros, 24 participating associations and 54 associations of the promoter group.

Among the outstanding activities of this edition, Segado has indicated the trip to Madrid during the weekend of 16 and 17 December in which the participants will attend the spectacle of the Circus of the Sun Totem.

For the price of 150 euros, they will have a bus ride, entrance to the show in 2nd category and hotel on a bed and breakfast basis.

In addition, on October 21 there will be an excursion to Caravaca on the occasion of the Jubilee Year, with a price of 10 euros, and, on November 25, departure to Jijona, where the enrolled discover this town famous for its nougat.

This excursion will cost 15 euros.

As for the workshops that have been programmed, the cooking cycle 'With the TLA en masse' returns, with chocolate cake workshops, cookies, bread and ginger cookies, all with the collaboration of Hayat's Chocolate Factory.

There will also be other vegetarian cuisine, from locution and initiation to dubbing, theater, film, conversation in English, panoramic photography, development of virtual environments, several on health and another on intervention strategies in the field of leisure and free time with children and young people with disabilities.

As in previous editions, has highlighted Ricardo Segado, there will be sport and adventure activities, such as bungee jumping, canyoning, climbing, hiking.

In addition, there will be an intersessional meeting on October 28;

for which they can still register associations that want to settle in one of the stands that will be installed in the Plaza Heroes of Cavite.

The deadline, according to Maria del Mar Sánchez, ends on October 18.

Also this weekend, on Sunday 29, there will be a youth craft market, where dolls, prints, jewelry, clothing, bags and other objects made by young people with different techniques and methods can be found.

In turn, the TLA program will be present in two neighborhood meetings, which will take place in La Aljorra, this Sunday, October 7, and November 12 in Pozo Estrecho.

In these meetings, José María Lloret explained, a tent will be set up to provide information on the program's activities.

Finally, explained the coordinator of the program, on October 31, on the occasion of the celebration of Halloween, the third edition of the short film sample of horror 'Sometimes I see shorts', where the audience will choose among the projections the short winner.

As a novelty this year, the prize has been increased, which amounts to 500 euros this time.

URBANCT

On the other hand, María del Mar Sánchez has highlighted the UrbanCT program, which this quarter launches a series of innovative activities that include the talk 'Recording, mixing and mastering in Hip hop' by Berrebe, this Friday, 6 October at the Youth Resource Center, with an exhibition of Arroyo Sounds of the latest news in music equipment;

or the festival of urban culture that will take place the 4 and 5 of November.

It will include a Beatbox contest, break championship, rooster fight, parkour or skateboard, among other activities.

In addition, on Friday December 1, Sala Tántalo will host the presentation of a documentary produced by the Department of Youth on the history of hip hop in Cartagena and dj performances specialized in Hip Hop.

TLA SUMMER DATA

Ricardo Segado has made an assessment of the previous edition, which took place between June and July of this year.

Thus, 100 activities have been held, with a budget of 10,000 euros and involving 2,682 young people and 20 associations.

Thus, the activities of July involved 867 people;

in August, 663;

and in September, 752. In turn, 225 people enrolled in package tours;

and 175 in the training courses.

Segado has recalled some of the most outstanding activities of the last edition of TLA, such as trips to Galicia and Antequera and Caminito del Rey, as well as excursions to Aqualandia Benidorm and Aquopolis Torrevieja;

besides the workshops of Interpretation to the creative actor, of black and white photography, of identification of odononatos (dragonflies and devil's horses), and of beekeeping.

On the other hand, he highlighted the nautical and aquatic activities that took place, such as the sighting of cetaceans and seabirds, navigation with norkel, wakeboarding and water skiing, sailing in the canoe on the Mar Menor, excursion to the cliffs of Cabo Tiñoso, water activities in the Mar Menor, diving baptisms in Cabo de Palos, boat trip through the Hormigas Islands Reserve and visit to the Interpretation Center of Cabo de Palos, and the courses of initiation to diving .
