The Department of Equality has presented the second year of the School of Empowerment of women.
Through a series of courses and workshops, explained by the Councilor for Equality, David Martinez and the Coordinator of the Department of Equality, María José Mercader, seeks to develop a process of awareness of learning and acquisition of tools to boost the capacities of every woman and be able to learn to choose their own lives, recognize their strengths and weaknesses and increase their self-esteem and self-confidence.
"With this kind of interventions and interventions we help women to question what has been learned, the gender roles they transmit to us daily and from birth, to challenge or simply question the prevailing divisions between women and men, to negotiate the boundaries between what natural and social "explained the councilman.
Under the motto "Look at yourself", during the months of October, November and December the courses of Emotional Gym, a workshop to deal with emotions and decisions, will be taught;
The woman and the benzodiazepines, a workshop to know the correct use of this class of tranquilizantes medicines and its possible addiction;
The woman in the different roles of Roman society, a monographic course on this subject;
Cultural breakfasts, which will be guided tours of Cartagena;
Pilates;
Theater workshops for the empowerment of women, which will have two parts and seeks to empower participants to gain self-confidence;
Introduction to Feng-Shui, to learn to create harmonious environments;
Creation of mandalas, to capture and discover emotional states through colors;
Pelvic floor care;
The life of colors, to recognize the vibrations of each color and to use them in daily life;
Intercultural workshop for the empowerment of foreign women;
and Craft Workshops.
All courses and workshops of the program are free and have a duration of 1 to 3 hours and do not require continuity, to encourage any woman who wishes to participate.
The days and schedules of realization of the same are included in the triptych that is attached to this information and the inscription can be done in person at the headquarters of the Department of Equality, C / Sor Francisca Armendáriz, Edificio La Milagrosa, 2nd floor, and sending an e-mail to the email address equality@ayto-cartagena.es.
In addition a cultural trip has been organized to Castile and Leon that will leave the 22 of October at night and will return the 27 of October.
It is planned to visit Valladolid, Zamora, León, Ponferrada, Valporquero Cave, Las Médulas and Castrillo de los Polvazares.

WORKSHOPS IN NEIGHBORHOODS AND DIPUTATIONS
The Department of Equality can request the realization of any of the workshops collected in the program in the districts or deputations of Cartagena.
The request can be made from the Neighborhood Associations or from any other association, provided that a group of 15 to 20 people is formed according to the course.
