A young woman was murdered in Quarries at the hands of her former partner (25/09/2017)

Local Police of Cartagena has arrested on Monday, September 25, the alleged perpetrator of the death of a 20-year-old girl in the Cartagena de Canteras deputation.

The incident took place around 12:00 p.m., when emergency telephone number 112 received calls alerting that a young woman had been attacked by her ex-partner, a 22-year-old man with a weapon.

The neighbors themselves have managed to retain the alleged perpetrator of the crime, who was hiding, with whom he has struggled in his attempt to escape.

To the place of the events, a Mobile Emergency Unit of the Murcian Health Service and several patrols of Local Police and Civil Guard have been displaced, as well as a team of psychologists to attend to the victims' families.

Although the displaced toilets have tried to save the life of the young woman, she has died but few minutes after the event, reason why they have only been able to confirm his death.

CONDEMNATION OF THE FACTS

The Councilor for Equality of Cartagena, David Martinez, has lamented and strongly condemned this event, and has opted for the joint work of all social agents "to end together" with the macho violence.

The International Women's Platform, through the Platform March 8, has organized a silent demonstration as a rejection of gender violence, this afternoon at 20.00 hours, in the plaza of Icue, which is added the Department of Equality and which will attend the acting mayor, Juan Pedro Torralba.

Also, from the City of Cartagena have been decreed two days of official mourning and has been called a minute of silence tomorrow Tuesday, September 26, at 12:00 in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.
