Musical tributes to Queen, Pink Floyd and Carlos Santana in El Batel's autumn program (20/09/2017)

A very musical autumn is the bet of the Auditorium and Congress Hall El Batel for the months of October to December.

An autumn where the public can attend the tributes to Queen, Pink Floyd and Carlos Santana, the musical show "Music has no limits", the opera "The Barber of Seville", the celebration of the forty years on the stages of The Consortium, the concert of end of tour of the cartagenero group Nunatak or to the show that offers the Film Symphonic Orchestra with the music of cinema.

In addition, El Batel will host the magician Jorge Luengo, the ballets of "Sleeping Beauty" and "Swan Lake" and humorists Faemino and Cansando and Goyo Jiménez.

The program highlights the "Music has no limits" show, a show that has broken the schemas of the world of music, a show that proposes a trip for the great successes of the history of music.

The show created around the concept "the playlist of your life", is composed of popular songs of Michael Jackson, U2, Queen, Barbara Streisand, or The Police, among which Puccini, Bach and other classics are also strolling.

The proposal ranges from classical music to pop, through rock, jazz, gospel, opera or house.

In the show they emphasize the special effects, the games of lights, images, voices ... Their tour by Spain stops in El Batel, the 8 of October.

After directing The Hole, Mayumaná and Rumba, the show Estopa group, Yllana will present at El Batel and thanks to Cajamurcia Grande Week on Saturday, October 14, in two passes, "We Love Queen", a new show concept with live musicians and great scenery, which is announced as a different show, a new way to listen and enjoy the songs of one of the most spectacular rock bands of the twentieth century.

The show is a tribute to Queen's music, dramatizing it and taking it to the stage, but without losing an iota of the essence of the songs, since almost all of them have become part of the collective imagination.

The Cartagena Auditorium will also host "Symphonic of Pink Floyd" on October 20, a show by the same producers as "Symphonic Rhapsody Queen", which has already passed the previous year by El Batel, which will play the most important songs of the British band.

Regarded as one of the most influential bands in the history of music and a group turned cultural icon of 20th century rock, Pink Floyd 'returns' to the stages and does it through their great successes by the hand of this montage of almost three hours of duration.

The Russian National Ballet of the prestigious Sergei Radchenko returns to Cartagena to the El Batel Auditorium with 'Sleeping Beauty', a piece in which the score of Tchaikovsky, the choreography of Marius Petipa and the tale of Charles Perrault are enshrined in a magician set.

The Batel will thus host on October 25 in a single function to one of the most spectacular and representative ballets of the classic repertoire.

The legendary soloist of the Moscow Bolshoi Theater Sergei Radchenko was the dance partner for more than 20 years of Maya Plisétskaya.

El Batel's programming for October will also host the galas for the benefit of ASTUS, the Association for the Protection of Persons with Disabilities, which celebrates its 50th anniversary on Sunday, October 1 with the Tercio de Levante Music Unit and Cartagena de la Caridad, Saturday, October 21, with the Music Unit of the General Air Academy.

The duo of comedians will be in Cartagena on November 12 with their show "Who had retained!".

A show full of gags in which narrate situations of daily life led to the absurd, mixing the intellectual with the simple.

Regarded as one of the best monologues in the country, he will delight the public with his surprising, biting and hilarious vision of reality.

One of the most outstanding operas of Rossini "El Barbero de Sevilla" will be staged in Cartagena on November 14 by Opera 2001. A few days later, on the 19th, it will be the turn of the famous group El Consorcio to sing their usual songs to celebrate his forty years in music.

In addition to tributes to Queen and Pink Floyd El Batel will host on Sunday, November 26th one to Carlos Santana.

Composed by experienced international musicians, as well as current and former Carlos Santana musicians and members, in "The Magic of Santana" the audience will make a musical journey through the music of one of the greatest guitarists in history.

The Moscow Ballet returns to Cartagena on Sunday, December 17 with "Swan Lake", an opportunity to enjoy this work by Tchaikovsky on stage, undoubtedly one of the most choreographed and versioned pieces of all time .
