The mayor of Cartagena, 38-year-old Ana Belén Castejón, today gave birth to her second child at the public hospital of Santa Lucia at 12.30.

Castejón has lighted a man and both are in perfect condition.

From this moment, the first lieutenant of mayor, Juan Pedro Torralba, assumes in functions the Mayor's Office until the day in which Castejón rejoins to the work.

The baby has weighed 3.3 kilos.

The mayor plans to share her husband's maternity leave.
