The UPCT summons the prizes of the Social Council (27/06/2017)

The Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena (UPCT) has published the bases of the 14th edition of the awards of its Social Council of which the City of Cartagena is part.

In total there are 5 prizes awarded by this body, the 'Félix Martí Alpera' award for collaboration in the employability of graduates of the UPCT, the 'Enrique Martínez Muñoz' award for collaboration with the UPCT in research, technological development and innovation , The 'Isaac Peral y Caballero' award for research activity and transfer of knowledge from UPCT research groups, the 'Galileo' short story award and the 'Nicomedes Gómez' drawing award.

The "Enrique Martínez Muñoz" award, of honorary nature and included in the project of the Campus of International Excellence Mare Nostrum 37/38, aims to recognize the entities and institutions that are especially distinguished in recruiting research and in their collaboration in activities Research, technological development and innovation, with the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena.

Applications may be submitted until 28 July.

The 'Félix Martí Alpera' award seeks to recognize institutions and institutions that are especially distinguished in helping graduates of the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena through contracts in internships, professional career consolidation, their participation in employment forums and Other activities organized by the University for this purpose.

In the 'Isaac Peral y Caballero' award, two categories are distinguished: a modality A for research groups that have distinguished themselves by their scientific production, and a modality B for research groups that have excelled by the carrying out of knowledge transfer activities And technological.

Both categories will have an economic endowment of 5,000 euros for group expenses to be spent in 2017 and 2018. Candidatures can be submitted until 28 July.

The "Galileo" award can be attended by anyone who presents a story based on scientific or technical advances, real or imaginary.

The works must be written in Spanish, typewritten in double space, with font Arial in 12 points, in size DIN A4 for a single face, and have an extension between 6 and 8 pages.

The works will be sent in duplicate, in paper and accompanied by a CD containing the story in .doc or .rtf format, which will have to be sent to the Secretariat of the Social Council of the UPCT.

The deadline for submission to these last two contests is until November 15 and the prizes to which you can aspire are: a prize of 1,000 euros, two special mentions of 500 euros and, optionally, a mention of 500 euros to a work Presented by a member of the university community of the UPCT.

The awards will be presented during the academic celebration of St. Thomas Aquinas in 2018.
