The mayor asks the president of the CARM more investments and supports for the municipality to achieve the infrastructures and services it needs (23/06/2017)

The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, attended this Friday, June 23, the assembly of the Confederation of Business Organizations of Cartagena (COEC), in which she asked the president of the Autonomous Community, Fernando López Miras, more Support and financing so that the municipality obtains the infrastructures that it needs.

"Cartagena faces major challenges in the coming years and public administrations must facilitate the arrival of investments and, in no case, become an obstacle to the generation of wealth and jobs," stressed the first mayor, while Which has advocated for loyal collaboration.

Castejón reminded López Miras that Cartagena needs a new General Plan for Urban Planning.

"It is necessary that both of us commit ourselves to expedite and promote this document so essential for Cartagena," he assured.

The implementation of the Zone of Logistical Actions (ZAL), the arrival of the Mediterranean Corridor and the AVE are other issues for which the mayor has requested the support of CARM, since "they are infrastructures that can not be delayed any longer in the time".

The first mayor has not forgotten the farmers and has offered López Miras the possibility that the local and regional administrations go hand in hand to claim the arrival of water to the Region.

"Cartagena is undoubtedly the economic engine of our Autonomous Community and must have the necessary tools to continue growing," claimed Castejón.
