In coming days, twelve streets of La Palma will see renewed its outdated public lighting system that, after more than thirty years of service, needs to be replaced.

This action is being channeled through the projects chosen by the neighbors in the first Participative Budgets of the City of Cartagena, implemented in the current exercise.

After the voting of the neighborhood, from the Town Hall, these decisions are being implemented through public bidding processes that will make the proposals of the Carthaginists a reality.

In the case of La Palma, interested companies can submit their offers until June 27 in a telematic way to opt for the renovation of the public lighting of this council, with a bidding budget of 140,000 euros.

In five of the streets where Francisco Campoy, Izquierdo, Izquierdo, Mariano, Ángel Ferragut and Albarán will be present, there will be continuity to the performance that has recently been carried out in the area, installing columns of polyester reinforced with glass fiber , Seven meters high, which will be equipped with LED technology.

In this way, the current variety of supports of different characteristics and luminaires, obsolete and inefficient, will be replaced.

As regards the streets Acebo, Molera, Carthagonova, Granados, Dos de Mayo and Roldán, the current and old areas and facade lines will be buried, placing metallic supports of different height (5,6 and 7 meters).

Only in the case of the street Pedro Balso the installation will be in front.

All of them will have LED technology.
