MC supports the Galactyco Collective in its request of resignation of the delegate of the Government after the aggressions of last Saturday in Murcia (20/06/2017)

This morning, a press conference was held by the representatives of the Galactyco Collective, Daniel Guirao and Alberto Alba, demanding the resignation of the Government delegate in the Region, Antonio Sánchez-Solís, after the attacks By demonstrators during the LGTBI Pride Parade in Murcia last Saturday.

This manifestation of Galactyco has been supported by MC, represented by its Secretary General, José López, and the Organization Secretary, Ángel Tarifa.

The coordinator of EnOrgulleCT, Daniel Guirao, has pointed out that the Galactyco Collective can not "remain impassive in the face of the aggressions that took place last Saturday in the LGTBI Pride of Murcia."

Guirao has denounced that the Delegation of the Government authorized a manifestation of the group of ultra right "Lo Nuestro" the same day in the city of Murcia, being modified only the location of this "countermanifestation".

The events that occurred later have led Guirao to demand the resignation of Antonio Sánchez-Solís.

For its part, the Education Coordinator of the Galactyco Collective, Alberto Alba, has described the assaults suffered by eight people, denouncing that the Government Delegation does not recognize these attacks since only a complaint was filed by one person.

Later, Alba has read a manifesto demanding the resignation of Antonio Sánchez-Solís "for allowing the call of the ultra-right group 'Lo Nuestro', the same day and at the same time, knowing that it was more than likely that clashes and provocation Part of this group to which we participated, peacefully, in a demonstration that claims respect, diversity, equality and freedom. "

For this reason, Alberto Alba has invited the citizens of Cartagena to "participate in the demonstration of EnOrgulleCT 2017 to claim and demand LGTBIQ rights worldwide, and strongly condemn the attacks that occurred in Murcia."

"Enough of unpunished aggressions. Enough of being afraid," he concluded.

It is worth remembering that next Saturday, June 24, Cartagena will host the EnOrgulleCT 2017 demonstration, under the slogan 'For LGTB rights worldwide'.

MC condemns the aggressions suffered by the participants in the LGTBI Pride parade in Murcia and supports the request of resignation of the delegate of the Government realized by the Collective Galactyco.
