Plasticos Romero Cartagena FS launches a scholarship agreement for its schools in line with the Council of Social Services (19/06/2017)

A total of 35 children from the municipality of Cartagena and its Comarca can benefit from the scholarship agreement for the Sports Schools Cartagena FS Javi Matía 'No children without football';

A collaboration agreement between the Department of Social Services and Social Mediation and Plásticos Romero Cartagena FS in which also participates the Obra Social La Caixa and which supports the Department of Sports.

The Councilor for Sports, Ricardo Segado, the delegate councilor for Social Services and Social Mediation, Carmen Martín del Amor, the president of Plásticos Romero Cartagena FS, Roberto Sánchez, and the CaixaBank financial director in the area, Diego García, have presented this Monday this program aimed at children with fewer resources and over time could even be expanded.

It will be the professionals of the Department of Social Services and Social Mediation who, with their assessment will derive the children who meet the requirements to access these scholarships.

On the other hand, the Plásticos Romero Cartagena FS will also participate in different activities organized by the Council itself, as in the Strategy Antirrumores.

In addition, the club will contribute to promoting the attendance of parties to social groups and associations of disability through the delivery of tickets;

For this, previously the Department will provide a list of them.

In this same line the players will make visits to the headquarters of the different associations.

The objective of this program, according to the mayor of Social Services and Social Mediation, is that the smallest beneficiaries of this measure "not only develop a sports activity, but also seeks to integrate and remove them from exclusion and discrimination," adding That "this City Council firmly bets on promoting inclusion and diversity through sport".

"The union of all gives us the necessary push to be able to transfer to the citizenship values ​​of commitment and to be able to activate the solidarity that these families need so much with economic and social problems," said Carmen Martín.

The councilor of Sports considered it "magnificent" to offer these grants and thanked all parties for their involvement in this initiative.

"The sport is also good for people at risk of social exclusion," he commented while praising the basic work carried out by the Plásticos Romero Cartagena FS.

"Their schools are that channeling of the good that supposes the sport and the futsal," declared Segado.

The president of the club agreed with this idea.

"We firmly believe that working with the base, with the children of Cartagena, is very important," he said.

"On the other hand, being able to reach those children who do not have the facility to be in our schools is also a priority objective," said Sánchez.

The leader affirmed that this is "one of the most important tasks" that the team has as a club and qualified the "future project" and "interesting" scholarship program that will make children with fewer resources Sports schools of the entity.
