On Sunday, June 18, Alumbres will host the first edition of BMX Alumbres Sport 'Ciudad de Cartagena', organized by the City Council of Cartagena through the Department of Sports and Sports Club Alumbres Sport, together with the Mountaineering Federation Of the Region of Murcia and that will cross the roads and natural places of the surroundings of the cartagenera deputation.
The councilor of the Sports Area, Ricardo Segado, was in charge of presenting this test, accompanied by the Director General of Sports of the Autonomous Community, Alonso Gomez, and the president of the Club Alumbres Sport, Francisco Madrid.
Among the more than 120 athletes that will participate is the regional champion and one of the best bikers in the elite category in the national panorama Ismael Sánchez.
The race will start on San Francisco Street, next to the municipal sports hall, and will have a 35 kilometer circuit in a closed circuit that will pass through different rural roads from the surroundings of the cartagenera deputation to the goal, also located in the exit zone.
Thus, as Segado has emphasized, "we hope that it becomes a reference for all lovers of BXM" since the aim of this first edition is to lay the foundations and consolidate in the future the test within the calendar of sporting events inside Of the municipality of Cartagena.
"We invite you to participate in the different attractions offered by the Alumbres environment and to challenge the time to achieve the goal of this first edition," said the mayor of Sports, who recalled that both the organization asks all participants for maximum respect To the environment during the test.

For his part, Francisco Martinez has emphasized that the test has emerged from the illusion of the club to launch this sporting event, with features that make it unique in the municipality of Cartagena.
And is that, he recalled, it is a MTB race through a closed circuit with six laps, in an "ideal environment."
He thanked the support of the City of Cartagena to carry out this test and has ensured that since the organization of the event will put the maximum respect and care for the environment to ensure that all roads and paths do not suffer during the completion of this race.
The inscription price is 15 euros for federated runners and 18 euros for non-federates, and includes a gift of windbreaks and supplies during and after the test.
