Carmona wanted to start his intervention by thanking the City Council for its support through the Department of Sports for supporting this initiative by taking the side of the most disadvantaged, and the College Miralmonte for opening the door of their home by giving up their facilities and by betting on integration As sponsor of the club.

The president of the club has highlighted the importance of this service, which "gives a respite to parents of children with special abilities in the summer, so they can go to work knowing that their children are in good hands and enjoying as The other children. "

In addition to the expansion for the summer months, Carmona recalled that this year also took place both a Christmas School and a School of Easter with great success.

A CLUB THAT MEETS A NEED

The CDA Icue was created in 2013 as an initiative of parents of children with disabilities to respond to their need for resources and adapted centers.

It is a non-profit club so that children with disabilities can play and enjoy music, sports and leisure, fundamental aspects for their development as individuals, but also to enable parents to reconcile family and work life.

In this aspect, it must first be taken into account that children with special abilities are highly dependent on those who greatly affect routine change, which is why adapted schools are essential, such as this one, which is committed to participation , Accessibility and equal conditions.

Secondly, regarding the family aspect, the parents of these children are often forced to make the decision that one of the spouses leave their job to care for their child in the summer, or the care should be delegated to relatives, Which poses a great burden and personal and emotional frustration on parents.
