CTSSP criticizes that the projects of the municipality depend on the European funds (24/05/2017)

CTSSP considers it an absolute irresponsibility of the new Government that projects as important for the municipality as the Roman amphitheater or mobility are pending "possible" European aid, funds that are not counted and whose dependence can not paralyze the development of Cartagena .

For the municipal group of PODEMOS, large investments should be fully contemplated in the municipal budget, so that its execution is 100% guaranteed.

In addition, work should be done in coordination with the Regional Government, in order to have greater departures.

European funds can not be the "salvation" for the completion of the great outstanding works.

And much less the oxygen ball to justify the unjustifiable, continuity of a deficit society like Old Town.

The group's spokeswoman, Pilar Marcos, said: "We can not fool people by saying that we are going to get Casco Antiguo free of a debt of more than 10 million euros thanks to some non-existent European projects, or to the sale of Some plots that do not finish selling.

To the facts we refer, in 2016 and part of 2017 only 4 plots have been sold and there have been zero contributions from European programs. "

CTSSP urges the Government to design a rational investment policy, based on accurate and realistic forecasts, and especially guaranteed items to undertake the works required by the neighbors of the municipality2E Finally, reiterates the need to dissolve Casco Antiguo and transfer its assets and Passive to the City, doing a direct management of these and saving many thousands of euros in personnel costs.
